About our philosophy
I have been working in the field of mental health since receiving my Bachelors of Psychology from the University of Rhode Island in 2006.
I am a 2012 alum of the University of Rhode Island’s Masters of Science COAMFTE Couple and Family Therapy program and have been previously licensed in New Hampshire in 2014, Rhode Island since 2016, along with being licensed in Connecticut since 2020.
I work with adult individuals, couples and families.
My areas of clinical research and interest include mental health with the Deaf & Hard of Hearing, grief and loss, couples counseling, and families with a member that have a chronic medical condition such as stroke and traumatic brain injury.
I believe change starts with an idea, develops with telling a story, and is cemented in building new skills to overcome messages of pain, grief, and emotional gridlock.
Telehealth
Why should you choose telehealth? As the world is rapidly changing in front of our eyes Northeast Couple and Family Therapy LLC has also evolved to provide therapy that is easily accessible, private, and reliable.
Research has shown the growing clinical effectiveness of virtual therapy. The ability to connect with a therapist from a distance means more people can obtain the support they need in an efficient manner. Those living in rural areas, or have limited access to getting to an office can now experience professional mental health counseling from a licensed provider. Mental health laws require I practice only in the state I am licensed in, which is currently Rhode Island and Connecticut.
